Week 5: Mind Mapping, Photo Of The Week, SGNightFest & Videos Reviews

Mind Mapping
Mind mapping is a thought process and project planning to organise your ideas. You need to keep adding more ideas and think further about something. I have never really done a mind map ever since secondary school because I didn't know that mind mapping is actually a very useful method of thinking to see the bigger picture in different things.

We also learned about 10x2, this allows us to think about 10 different words for just one picture and from the 10 words, you can think of 2 questions about the picture. My group actually thought of more than 10 words for each of us because we didn't want any one of us to have the same word on our list.

|  Woman  |  Elegant  |  Conservative  |  Yukata  |  Moon  |  White Face  |  Relationship  |  Expensive  |
|  Cultural  |  Floral  |  Geisha  |  Japanese  |  Hairstyle  |  Pattern  |  Cloudy  |  Small Eyes  |  Windy  |
|  Words  |  Earlobe Painting  |  Reed  |  Tradition  |  Night  |  Ukiyoe  |  Gentlewoman  |  Talking  |
|  Urgent to pee  |  Walking Kimono  |  Hair clasp  |  Chinese  |  Females  |  Blue Sky  |  Peri  |  Gaust  |
|  Shy  |  Flowy  |  Fat foot  |  No eyebrows  |  Colours  |

Photo Of The Week
I have always wanted a dog as a pet but I can't... My mom will ALWAYS tell me "You can't even take care of yourself & you wanna take care of a dog?".  So far, I only had hamsters and a kitten as my pet before, but I had to give away my kitten to a friend because I actually sneaked the kitten into the house without my mom knowing(My sister was in on it too!!). Dogs are loyal and clingy(the good kind). They know when you're feeling down and knows how to cheer you up better than most humans do, am I right? No matter what, they'll always be there for you when you're crying in the middle of the night. I would love to adopt/buy a dog in the future when I have a family myself.

Singapore Night Festival
I actually wanted to go to last year's Singapore Night Festival but I missed it. So this year, I had the opportunity to go. I really liked all the different exhibitions and art work. Other than just doing it for the homework, I really enjoyed it but I personally think that I'll enjoy it more if it wasn't for my homework HAHA, sorry Mr Ezzam! I'll just let the pictures talk because 'picture speaks a thousand words'.

Video Reviews
Seth Godin: How to get your ideas to spread? - Seth Godin talks about how you want your ideas to spread. People who can spread ideas, regardless of what those ideas are, they win. You can spread ideas very easily with TV industrial complex, the mass media. It also informed all of us that all the products succeeded because someone figured out how to get people to buy things by promoting their item over and over again on the TV. Seth Godin is a very humorous speaker, I laughed a lot while watching.

Amy Tan: Where does creativity hide? - Where you can find creativity? Amy Tan talks about where one could find their creativity. Creativity could be a neurological condition and in includes nature and nurture. The way that she presented was really humorous, she is not afraid of embarrassing herself. She talks a lot about her childhood and share her troubles as a child. There is a reason to everything, there was no randomness. Creativity is to imagine and becoming what is imagined.
